the windsor romance

So i was reading about the relationship between Wallis and Prince Edward, inquisitive to know more about the man who had given up the throne of England just to be with the woman he loved. On 12 Dec 1936, his younger brother, also the great grandfather of current Prince William, the Duke of York, was proclaimed King George VI.

Arguments can be made, of course, that they are shallow and self- involved. But it's also been said that the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Windsor was the "Romance of the Century", and that their love was "deep and true." "I have found it impossible to carry the heavy burden of responsibility and to discharge my duties as king as I would wish to do without the help and support of the woman I love." he famously said that in a broadcast to the nation. I dont know another person who can do that. Or maybe i do. People are virtually self-centred nowadays. In fact, im slowly learning that no one will love myself as much as i do.

Stories replay. People tend to fall back into the same shoe as the past. At some point i bitterly resented myself for placing myself in such a position.  Yet the consolation is that nothing is perfect. "Perfect world" is just a base to uphold theories in finance. Whilst the Windsor is a picturesque, the story of the Duke and Duchness of Windsor remains.

to-be-revamped wishlist

I was browsing thru my wishlist and i think it's time for a revamp.

Let's see:

- To sit on a cloud for a dayview and on the moon for a nightview (yeah i know this is ridiculous).
   This.. Errrm.. Shy**

- To lie down on a pretty greenland watching the sky and clouds.
   I think i achieved sthing not exactly, but similar to this. Can i tick this item? :)

- To get my weight back to at least 41kg.
   This is achieved! As at 14/09/2012.

- To learn gu zheng and dancing.
   This is yet to be achieved. But should be a current liability realising soon. Trust me.

- To study up till Masters, of course preferably to Doctorate.
   This is yet to be achieved. But there might be slightly change in plan.

- To be able to pay for my own property, my own car, my own expenses.
   At current practice.

- To have a farm visit and spend time chasing after and being chased after with the sheep, cattles and goats.
  This is actually inspired by a friend who is doing veterinarian science. Realisation, well, it depends.. maybe New Zealand?

- A wonderful dressing room with a large wardrobe and a potpourri of compartments for handbags, accessories, watches, jewelry etc.
   This is yet to be achieved. But effort in progress.

- Fairy tales!!
  I forgot what does this has to do with. Ooopss..

- To volunteer and help people, especially children in need.
   This comprises of two: short term and long term. is yet to be achieved. But effort in progress.

- To be lee chong wei, wei wei's  personal assistant =p
   This shall be left to destiny =p

Overall remarks: Not too bad i would say, condering the current schedule im stuck in. More could be one, and as one is achieved, one could come in =)

it's our very first anniversary

First and foremost, i hope i didn get the date wrong.

Regardless of our first encounter which wasnt really impressive,

we ve finally came hand in hand to complete our first year.

Many actually asked if i would leave u somehow.

I dont know honestly. It depends really.

As we grow i realise lots of decision-making are interdependent.

But i know, i wouldnt have been me without you.
You ve been a good mentor, both personally and professionally.
Thank you for moulding the little childish young teen into who she is today.
