the cinderella

Haha.. It's cinderella day again. After waking up at 11 this morning (hehe), i quickly transformed myself into cinerella and started our hs general cleaning again. I washed the bathroom last week. N it's my first time washing a toilet, so u shud regard the toilet as being very very fortunate and lucky to be washed by pinkiecloud :D Well, this week's duty was general cleaning. Including vacuuming of the entire hs, or to be more specific, all shared areas which are carpeted. Although tis is my first time too, but with the aid of the vacuum cleaner, the entire task was made so much easier and relaxed. In fact, i enjoyed seeing the floor so clean and 'shiny' after pinkiecloud vacuumed it. Compared to initial state, it was so contradictal and paradoxical =P

Since my house is so much tidier now, i shall show u some pictures of them.. Or a tour around it.

That's our walkway once u open our main door..
Then, walk straight and u ll reach our living room..
View 1 Inside the box is our tv which no one is yet free to install..
View 2 Well, continue your way and you ll reach our kitchen.. And finally, our backyard. It's so huge and spacious. I know it's bit too early to say so, but we are seriously planning to hold a barbeque session during spring..So that's it! Im going to give each of them a suprise/little gift tmrw.. Stay tuned :)

the crying baby that has grown up

First of all, i need to apologize for being 'ignorant' to some of your msn IMs or emails. Has been really really busy with mmm...... i dont even know why am i so busy.. The good news is, I am still alive, and i began to enjoy study life in uk. I am starting to indulge into university schedules, what more with a bunch of friendly and crazy housemates. Haha.. I start to feel that it's a blessing to study in such a happening and beautiful place like warwick. I am pitifully regret why didnt i get more involved with sports last year, when my exam results do not count towards my final degree. This year i am so enthusiastic to join each and every activity, yet i knew i have a more important commitment which is my studies :D
Anyway, there's just so much work to do. Never-ending readings, lists of socials, and always-a-worry 3 meals.. Luckily i still have my blog to listen to me now. But whenever i recall of the hassle of searching images, it kind of hinders me from bloggin more often than i desire. So appear that i completed my readings as targeted for today, i am glad to sacrifice some of my sleeping time to blog and talk to my good listener (i found out that i like sleeping more n more!).. So u better appreciate this full-of-effort post =P

Am still trying to get use with my new phone. Obviously my typing speed is terribly deteriorating due to touching of screen instead of button-pressing. But on a brighter note, i can online in the library without the need to grab a pc or even browsing thru mails and lecture notes during lectures! That's where there's a pain, there's a gain :)

Japanese lessons has been going well. I guess language learning ability really deteriorates with age. I wonder how did i manage to learn mandarin when i was 7. Fortunately we got a good and enthusiastic tutor whom guides us step by step. I knew 15 hiragana alphabets, numbers and some simple conversations now. Gambateh!
Last but not least, im no longer the crying baby. (Praise me praise me!!) I do miss home, but i know that they will always support me and be there for me. Thank you and MUACKS!!

Love and Life by Albert Einstein

This is a post i read on Nicole's blog.. Feeling that it's very thoughtfully written, im posting here for the sharing session today :D

Sometimes in our relentless effort to find the person we love, we fail to recognize and appreciate the people who love us. We miss out on so many beautiful things simply because we allow ourselves to be enslaved by our own selfish concerns.

Go for the man/woman of deeds and not for the man/woman of words, for you will find rewarding happiness, not with the man/woman you love but with the man/woman who loves you more.

The best lovers are those capable of loving from a distance far enough to allow the person to grow but never too far to feel the love within your being.

To let go of someone doesn’t mean you have to stop loving; it only means that you allow that person to find his/her own happiness without expecting him/her to come back. Letting go is not just setting the other person free, but is also setting yourself free from all the bitterness, hatred, and anger that you keep in your heart. Do not let the bitterness take away your strength and weaken your faith, and never allow pain to dishearten you; but rather let yourself grow with wisdom in bearing it.

You may find peace in loving someone from a distance not expecting something in return. But be careful, for this can sustain life but can never give enough room for us to grow. We can all survive with just beautiful memories of the past, but real peace and happiness come only with open acceptance of what reality is today.

There comes a time in our lives when we chance upon someone so nice and beautiful and we just find ourselves so intensely attracted to that person. This feeling soon becomes a part of our everyday lives and eventually consumes our thoughts and actions. The sad part of it is when we begin to realize that this person feels nothing more for us than just a friendship. We start our desperate attempt to get noticed and be closer, but in the end our efforts are still unrewarded and we end up being sorry for ourselves. You don’t have to forget someone you love. What you need to learn is how to accept the verdict of reality without being bitter or sorry for yourself. Believe me, you would be better off giving that dedication and love to someone more deserving.

Don’t let your heart run your life, be sensible and let your mind speak for itself. Listen not only to your feelings but to reason as well. Always remember that if you lose someone today, it means that someone better is coming tomorrow. If you lose love, that doesn’t mean you failed in love.

Cry if you have to, but make sure that tears wash away the hurt and the bitterness that the past has left with you. Let go of yesterday and love will find its way back to you. And when it does, pray that it may be the love that will stay and last a lifetime.

There are two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. There is no mistake so painful that love cannot forgive, no past so bitter that love cannot accept, and no love so little that we cannot start all over with.

On a lighter note, i updated my to-do list and let's see... I guess i shall venture into my accounting world very very soon :D

a short snap on what caused me to be so busy

It has been two weeks and not eveything has been accomplished.

#2~ Room was finally decorated with motivational notes and quotes as well as lovely cards frm all of u :D

#3~ Meeting was finally held on tue nite. We are getting a toaster, hurray!!

#4 & 5~ Societies issues dealth with. But stil unsure which sports club to join. Am really really thinking of learning a kind of self defence, but the times are the headache.

#9~ Daddy to book and confirm my flight for me. Shud i or shud i not go back? This time i hv a feelings that im okay if i dont go back. THis proves that my homesick is totally recovered!!

As you can see, revision is almost zero. New texts are still unwrapped and standing by on my shelves. HOpefully i ll go to them soon =)

week one

Term has officially started on monday and it is a very very busy week for me. I shall tell u that i have only skyped with my family once until today, compared to daily skypes in last year. I guess being busy is quite a good thing for me, and i hv not cried at all ever since i arrived on last satuday. Haha, praise me!! Pat pat**

But the price for it is that i have been having irregular meals -.-lll

Shhh... I ve not touched my new textbooks since i bought them for the entire week. And to a greater extent, i dont even have time for my fb games!!! =((((

Well, the most significant change this time is that im shifting from on campus to off campus. Our new home is looking prettier and prettier. And i ve finally completed the decors for my room. Im sry that no photos are available for the moment as im really busy. Please excuse my lazzzyness.. But i can show u the outlook of my house first which i snapped hurriedly before rushing to lecture..

The street where my house's located..

See? There's no gate for houses in uk..

And the field that is right behind our house.. U can see people bringing their dogs for a walk in the morning and that scene looks really sweet and peaceful..

Not many lectures have took place this week but most of them are not too bad yet. There's half good half bad regarding my timetable. THe good thing is that i am absolutely free on wednesdays and thursdays and i do not have even a 9am lecture! BUt the bad thing was the time are quite shattered around and i do not get to creep home for cheaper and warmer lunches as when i stayed on campus.

That's how uni moulds u into a mature individual who is able to make decisions him/herself. U choose ur own modules, choose ur own friends, choose ur own society, ur career path, plan ur own time, taking care of urself. That's uni life!! N I knew that 2nd year is going to be a real big gap frm 1st year. Therefore girl, WORK HARDER!!

Just a bit of advert here (if relevant to you), it's really nice to do craft over here. Imagine, materials are for free and u r free to mess around and destress after being in lectures for hours! What more we have biscuits and all sorts of food everytime for social and ice breaking too. The time is flexible and u can just pop in whenever u feel like to. So dont miss the fun and do join us =)

a house in earlsdon

Pheww.. have finally finished decorating my room (except for little knacks to be pasted up on the walls)! It's starting to look tidy but gorgeous. I themed it sweet pink-beige little princess style, as (1) heyyy, every girl is a princess; and (2) pink suits pinkiecloud :D

My previously-mentioned pink-red and grey single bed, in which i managed to grab after shopping for 3 days.. plus the valentine pillow i sewed myself during craft. Also, also my pink slippers and rug (: Pinkiecloud's study space.. Food stuffs are allocated away from this very important scene so as i cut down on junk food or being distracted whilst studying =)

The cute little ladybird 'elected' as my laundry basket..
Im thankful that there's a basin in my own room. Saving hassle of moving here n there esp while rushing for morning lectures.. Hehe.. Bought the drying tier today from wilkinson!!
Im still hesitating whether a shoe rack is necessary after taking into consideration that there's no suitable space for it. A large, long mirror would be lovely and perfect but i have no idea how can i stick it on the wall without damaging it.

I will try to work out on the decorations these few days in order to 'upgrade' it beyond clean and tidy. I want it to be pretty and close to a show room!! Haha.. Apart from that, im seriously crossing my fingers that staying at a home with friends will help alleviate my homesickness and then i ll enjoy warwick more a lil bit.

ham pau

The time has came finally. I have finally arrived in uk. As u can expect, i did cry at the airport. Thanks to the fresher pui yee whom i shud be taking care of, her existence kind of give me pressure. I told myself to stay tough, positive and try to be as helpful as possible so as to make her feel at home.

Reached my new home in the end around 9pm. It was quite scary to walk along the streets alone at nite. It was so quiet and spooky. Well, im thankful that i was home alas and was greeted friendly by my housemates!!

My new house is cosy and pretty except that the shower at the upper floor has a bit of leakage. My room's is not as spacious as the previous little heronbank, but it's well equipped, just enough for me! However, packing and adorning are going to cause a big head for me. There are still stuffs all over the room, and 5-6 boxes are stacking up high in the center. Big project, hmm... :D

I'm still missing everyone and everything in Malaysia like crazy. How much i wish im still sleeping in my real, own room now.
