badminton superfans

So yup, i realised one of my secret resolutions for the year-- all england championship!!! However, i am sorry that i could not provide u with more photos of the breathtakingly eye-opening day, as photography is prohibited throughout the event.

The oveview of the venue..
Early birds like us got to snap some pictures b4 the event started... Behind me are the players' sitting.. I was convincing myself that the guy in yellow behind me was lin dan!
Generally, there were 3 courts as it was just a quarter finals. Hence for time-saving purposes, 3 games will be held simultaneously. I duno how to describe. It's kind of awkward, as u hear cheerings at different moments. And usually in tv, it's so focused, but at the live event, u feel it's kind of informal and funny..

It was pure excitement and fun!! I saw lee chong wei, kkk, tbh, the confident and arrogant ever-looking lin dan, the impressive taufik, and the cool peter gade, who always played so gracefully. Not forgetting xie xing fang, lee young dae, lu lan, julia wong, tine, "aaron kwok" fu hai feng and many many more. Well the essence of watching semi finals is u get to see more matches, meaning more players!!

Well, sue risked being scolded by the guard to snap a picture of lin dan.. Cool :D
However, it was quite a tiring day, as i dun even know how to count how many matches i had watched. But then the climax was from the grully awesome lee chong wei, who was also the onli msians who made it to semi-finals.. Although he was left behind when the match first started, he quickly regain his cool demeanor and shape, performing the classic 'lee style' game, sending shivers to his Finland rival =)
THE SPECTATORS LOVE HIM! Everyone was cheering for him, i shall say he was the one who is most welcomed yesterday. (You might be wondering why is it not lin dan, it's bcuz the chinese supporters are almost exhausted after cheering for every chinese players, bcuz almost every match has a chinese playing). Tell you wat, after he slogged for victory, he bowed and waved to us! Omg.. I was so touched!! Emmm.. i was so touched that i cried!! I duno why, perhaps i felt that he really appreciates our support and was aware of our existence. Before exit, he signed autograph for a few supporters, BUT IT WAS NOT ME! Because i was on the other side where he was.. Bad luck for me, n i cried even bitterly after tat =(

Nonetheless, there were victory and losses as well. Our doubles were sent 'home'. I was in jitters when kkk-tbh had a hope of picking up and twisting the game at the end, but it ended up with disappointment. Fairuz-Zakry also struggled to find their way out from their opponents' intimidation but they failed. We lost in both games quite 'relaxly'..

But anyway im glad i saw all of them. Had been putting aside my image as a girl, shouting and screaming as if notHing.. But i shud say the audience's support is critical, cheerings did make a difference, as manifested by the indonesian supporters.. who were almost crazy.. But this is allowed for a match. Hehe..
On a lighter note, the stadium was thronged with people. Well, tickets for semi finals today n finals tomorrow had all been sold out. Basically, they sold out like one month before, hot cakes hmmm.. Spectators came from all around the world, u saw the english, chinese, msian of course, as well as indonesians and koreans.. Everyone was cheering n shouting for their country.. Luckily some seniors brought msia flag as well..

The event ended slightly later than scheduled. N we were rushing for the last train n bus. Otherwise our pockets wil be burned by taking a cab or staying in a hotel. Fortunately, we really really managed to do it, even i myself couldnt believe it.. We were incredibly lucky to pop on the last train n yeah.. Yipee, tat's y i am here now xD

As to i could not manage to get lee chong wei's autograph, tis' the only 'souvenir' i got from all england-- my entrance ticket :D
Okay, i know i should not be rambling around now.. With Management accounting test on monday and the scary financial management on wed. Although i promised myself tat it wil just be a short account of the lovely experience. WIsh me luck =P
