In the past, the 3 of us used to just shaping the balls, but this year i followed each procedure step-by-step. The favourite part was to 'throw' them into the pot and then it was so exciting to see the balls popping up and dancing on the hot water when they were ready to be consumed..

I ve always like this occasion, not merely bcuz of the fun of shaping the little, colourful balls, but also due to the underlying meaning of it: 'Tang yuan, tang yuan, yi jia tuan yuan'.. :D Especially when the three of us r doing it together with mummy. We will shape all sorts of awkward shapes like hamburger, teddy, strand-shaped etc. Last year jane even shaped 'shit'.. Hehe.. N in the evening, daddy will be welcomed by it when he's back home from one day's work.
I guess if we r celebrating 'tong zhi' in a 4 season country, then it would be even splendid! Imagine sipping the soup as the cold, evil snow r pouring outside ur window.. It would be so warm and sweet.. But nvm, it's still enjoyable celebrating it at homeland.
HAPPY TONG ZHI!!
